Bear River Tackle was featured in the Kansas Wildlife and Parks Magazine, March-April 2021 issue.

Our fishing flies are unlike any other flies in the entire world and can be used with any rod (spinning, casting or flyrod).

They are designed to have a life-like swimming action similar to a minnow or crawfish and are proven to be exceptionally effective for large aggressive fish.

In fact, I have yet to find any species of fish that can resist slamming these flies!

See for yourself when you visit the “Trophy Gallery” and the “Adventure Newsletters” on the Bear River Tackle web site

These are truly exceptional flies, unlike what is in the other fisherman’s fly boxes (generic wooly buggers, typical nymphs, standard dry flies, and same-as streamers).

Also the fish have never seen these flies which gives you a real opportunity to connect with trophy sized fish!

The article covers the entire journey Ashley, and I took to develop these special flies and make them available to you.

If you would like to learn more about our story and how you can fly fish using a spinning rod, casting rod or even a fly rod, click on the link below to download a PDF of the March-April magazine issue, then go to the article titled “Daddy Daughter Bonds” on pages 32-35.

This is a picture of the article, with four of our best fly patterns positioned in the foreground (Ash Special Red / Craw NJA Chartreuse / Octo Gold-Ey Olive / Big Bad Bass Rattler)

Michael Pearce, a well-known author, did an exceptional job writing the article. Enjoy!
